Like Money in the Bank
Would you like to have $60,000 in the bank? If you had that earning 5% annual yield, you would have an additional $3,000 per year, or $250 per month!
What could you do with that extra money? Invest it? Take a nice vacation? Take your family out more often? Pay off a debt? Do you realize that many of the foreclosures recently could have been avoided if there were just a few hundred extra dollars in the household each month?
If you do not have a substantial amount already saved up, it is unlikely that you will have $60,000 very soon. However, if you live in Texas, there is a way that you can get the equivalent of that bank account with a zero dollar investment in less than 6 months.
How? When you upgrade your electricity service to Ambit Energy and become a customer at no cost, you are eligible to participate in their free energy program. As a customer, you have a free website that you can refer people to so that they can upgrade their service and start saving money. When you have 15 or more positive referrals that upgrade to Ambit, the company will take the average of the electricity bills of those referrals and apply that average as a credit to your bill! Since the average electric bill in Texas is around $250, you have a potential savings each year of about $3,000! The actual amount you save could be more or less depending on the energy usage of the referrals you make.
Although this isn't an income, it has the same positive effect on your household finances. Whether you have more money coming in, or less money going out, the difference is extra money in your budget to do with what you want.
You do not have to refer 15 people every month, you only do that one time, but the credits keep coming month after month after month for as long as you and your referrals remain customers and pay on time. If the number of active referrals drops below 15, for example, some of your referrals move to an area where Ambit does not have service, the company gives you a chance to get some replacements so that the number of referrals is 15 or more again and you can continue to get the credit.
It is a revolutionary idea when a company that makes its money by charging people for energy, starts giving it away for free!
For those that decide to become a consultant, you also earn commission income on all of those referrals and any referrals that your customers make when they decide to earn free energy!

Maryland Pre-Launch Starts Today
Ambit Energy will start officially launch service for customers in the Baltimore Gas & Electric service area on November 1st. However, today the pre-launch began!
During the pre-launch, people that live in Maryland, as well as Delaware, Virginia, and Washington D.C., can join the business as consultants and get promoted before the customer acquisition begins. The normal customer requirement for promotion will be waived for these consultants during pre-launch. There will be many that promote to Regional Consultant and some that promote again to Senior Consultant before the end of October!
These new consultants also have another benefit. Their JumpStart Bonus clock and free energy countdown clock do not start until November 1st. They can not sign up customers in Maryland until November, but they can sign up customers in Texas, Illinois, and New York until then.
Watch this short online video for details about how you can profit from this expansion. Based on the experience of previous pre-launces, there should be many people whose first bonus check have four or five digits and a comma in it! People that live outside of the states listed above, but know people there, can get started and have a very large team of leaders quickly!

The Launch Pad
"In many ways, I believe that we are just now beginning our journey. When I look at the past four years, I see a company that has worked hard to set itself apart in an industry full of competitors. I see a company that has learned to move quickly, to be opportunistic and to hold itself to a high standard of conduct. I see a company whose foundation for success has been laid and whose opportunity for the future is limitless. Energy is the largest industry in history to be deregulated. We have spent four years building a foundation for success designed to be the launching pad for future growth."

Four Direct Selling Companies Make the Top 500 List
Direct Selling News reports that four companies that use direct selling to market their products and services earned their spot in the top 150 of the 2010 Inc. 500 list: Ambit Energy (#1), Scentsy (#19), Stella & Dot (#67), and Uppercase Living (#138).
The Inc. 500 list is published annually in Inc. magazine and is also available on their website. The online-version of the list is expanded to 5000 companies and nine more direct selling companies were included in the top 5000.
The Energy Retailer's Paradox — Free Energy
Energy retailers are in the business of selling electricity and natural gas. They purchase the energy from a generation company at wholesale and then resell it to the consumer at retail. This is how the retail providers create revenue and profit in their business. However, one company actually provides a way for consumers to get their energy for free. What makes this paradox even bigger is that partly because of this business model, the company has actually increased their revenues by 20,369% from $1.6 Million in 2006 to $325 Million in 2009!
MSNBC: Meet America's Fastest-Growing Company
Today, MSNBC published an article about the fastest-growing company in America.
"Imagine trying to live up to the kind of entrepreneurial legacy Jere Thompson Jr.—whose grandfather Joe Thompson started the iconic 7-Eleven chain in 1927—faces every day when he heads to work. But the younger Thompson has been establishing an impressive track record of his own, most recently by building a company that sells electricity and natural gas in the deregulated energy markets."

Energy, Chocolate, and Warren Buffett
What do Ambit Energy, Mars, and Berkshire Hathaway have in common?
They are all involved in direct sales.
In a time of layoffs and unemployment, starting a home-based business to supplement or replace your income becomes even more appealing. If you work for yourself, you don't have to worry about getting a pink slip and you have additional tax benefits that an employee does not have. Working from home avoids the rush hour traffic and high fuel bills and allows you to have more time with your family.
Although direct sales and multi-level marketing is very appealing, especially during a recession, there are some scams out there. This is why it is important to deal with companies that have a proven leadership team, are accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and are members of the Direct Selling Association (DSA). Being involved with the BBB and DSA like this brings a level of accountability and helps to ensure that you are working with a reputable company.
Ambit Energy has been accredited by the BBB since 2006 and currently has an 'A' rating with them. Ambit is also a member in good standing with the DSA.
This article provides some interesting information on using direct sales to promote growth.

The Fastest-Growing Privately-Owned Company in America
Inc. Magazine has released its 2010 Inc. 500 | 5000 list of the fastest-growing privately-owned companies in the United States and Ambit Energy is at the very top of the list!
The companies on the list are ranked by percentage growth over a 3-year period. Their 2009 revenues are compared to their 2006 revenues and the percentage of growth determines their placement on the list.
Ambit Energy had an astounding 20,369% growth rate with 2009 revenues of $325 Million. The company had revenues of $1.6 Million in 2006. This was the first year that Ambit Energy was eligible for placement on the list.
"We are thrilled and honored to achieve the number one ranking. When Chris Chambless, John Burke and I began a few years ago, our goal was to be the finest and most respected retail energy company. We never focused on becoming the fastest growing." --Ambit Energy CEO Jere Thompson, Jr.
Ambit Energy was also ranked #1 in the Energy Industry, #1 in the Dallas Metro area, and #30 in Gross Dollars of Growth.
Rarely does the average person in America have the opportunity to have the sole decision on whether or not they want to join the fastest-growing company in the nation. However, since Ambit Energy uses direct sales to market electricity and natural gas, this year people do have that choice. If you would like to know more about Ambit Energy and the opportunity available, please watch this short online video.

Jere Thompson, Jr. & Ambit Energy Featured Cover Story for Smart Business Dallas
Smart Business Dallas featured a cover story on how Jere Thompson, Jr. grew Ambit Energy from nothing to $325 Million in less than four years.
“Most entrepreneurs can hire what they can afford and that management team can get the company launched, but sometimes [it] doesn’t have the experience or the background to really scale the organization or to manage it — or it just becomes large,” Thompson says. “What we did was a little out of the box in that we stepped out and we hired that billion-dollar management team day one to come and get the start-up company off the ground.”
“If you’re a leader, you have to exemplify the traits that others admire and want to be around,” he says. “If you’re taking shortcuts, you’re going to lose great people. The best people will leave immediately. They want to be around honest, hardworking, smart, dedicated people. They’re entrusting their futures to you, and you have to respond by making certain that there’s no reason their trust ever waivers. The most important thing is that you conduct business life and private life in the same fashion and that’s one that will make your mother proud.”

Three simple questions
How many people do you know that use electricity or natural gas? Would they rather pay less and possibly even get it for free? If I could show you how we could work together and get paid to help them do that, would it be worth 20 minutes of your time?
It's No Joke, Ambit Energy Has a New Logo
The design uses two of the colors on Ambit’s new palette, orange and gray. It is accompanied by a spark of Energy (The Ambit Spark), highlighted by actual letter A’s. The spark also represents an Ambit or “sphere of influence,” the very building block of our Consultants and their businesses. The A’s are connected to show the power of uniting many towards a common goal. It represents what Ambit Energy and our consultants have achieved in just a few years’ time.
